CHAPTER 02 — THE GHOST
Nets that outlive their keepers.
A single lost net keeps fishing for centuries, strangling reefs, suffocating turtles, choking the breath of coastal ecosystems.
CHAPTER 03 — A NAME
Minavar. The word for fisherman.
In Tamil, ‘Minavar’ honours the people who live with the sea. Our project began with upcycled nets and grew into a movement of restoration and livelihood.
CHAPTER 04 — THE TURN
Waste becomes warmth, becomes work.
Celeste,a workforce of underprivileged coastal women—crafts handmade products using naturally available seashells, reflecting traditional craftsmanship and providing sustainable livelihoods.
